The next season of the CSGO ESL Pro League starts this week, and there will be more than $800,000 on the line. The best teams in the world will be fighting for the prizes over the next month or so.

The bookies already released their ESL Pro League betting odds for Season 15, so that’s a good reason to explore the event.

I’ve included the latest winner and group winners lines, my predictions, and the best bets in my ESL Pro League Season 15 betting preview. I also explain how the format works and provide a mini-preview of all four groups.

ESL Pro League Season 15 Format and Key Dates

Let’s begin with some factual information about the ESL Pro League Season 15. It’s important to note that players from the Russian sides Gambit and Virtus.pro were allowed to compete under a neutral flag. They won’t represent their country or their organizations.

That means that the original 24 teams will fight for the prize pool between March 9 and April 10. The competition starts with a group stage.

Each group will feature six teams. They face each other in a single round-robin with matches in the best-of-three format. Here’s what happens with the teams based on the final standings.

  • 1st Place – The top team from each group qualifies for the Quarterfinals directly.
  • 2-3 Place – The next two teams qualify for the Round of 12.
  • 4th or lower – All other squads are eliminated.

Once the ESL Pro League Season 15 opening phase is over, the Round of 12 starts. The second team from each group faces a third-placed opponent from another group in a best-of-three match. The four winners advance to the Quarterfinals.

The format becomes really simple after that point. You have a single-elimination bracket until a winner is determined.

That means there are no second chances; every defeat is final.

All matches here are in the best-of-three, with the exception of the Grand Final that is in the best-of-five.

There will be $823,00 on the line, as well as a seed in the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, points for the leaderboard for the same event, and ESL Pro Tour points. I’d say the stakes will be high! Here’s how all the goodies will be distributed.

Position Money prize BLAST prize Pro Tour prize
1 $175,000 World Final seed + 2,800 points 1,300 points
2 $70,000 1,400 points 1,000 points
3-4 $35,000 875 points 780 points
5-8 $17,500 265 points 485 points
9-12 $12,000 250 points
13-16 $9,000 120 points
17-20 $7,500 100 points
21-24 $6,000 70 points

There’s also a $5,000 bounty for every win in the group stage of the competition.

Now that you know what to expect in the upcoming month; let’s take a look at the different groups and the latest ESL Pro League Season 15 betting odds.

Group A Odds and Preview

  • G2 Esports; -125
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas; +320
  • MOUZ; +420
  • Entropiq; +600
  • Fnatic; +1700
  • LookingForOrg; +25000

The winner odds show a clear favorite in this group, and I don’t think anyone is surprised. G2 Esports is one of the most talented teams on the competitive scene right now. The roster is simply insane, and the start of the year has been solid.

The team finished second in the first CSGO Major after a strong performance in Katowice, including an epic semifinal against Na’Vi.

The confidence of the team is high, and the top spot in Group A is the goal here. NiP and MOUZ are the other two squads that deserve some attention. I don’t think they have the consistency to finish over G2, but they should be aiming at a spot in the Round of 12.

Entropiq is the squad most likely to challenge them, while Fnatic has been way too inconsistent recently.

I’m pessimistic about both sides, to be frank. They don’t look cohesive enough this year.

The last team in this group is expected to serve as a punching bag. The ESL Pro League odds suggest that LookingForOrg is at least a level below everyone else, and I have to agree. Qualifying for this stage is a major success already, but I don’t expect much more.

The final standings in this one should be relatively straightforward, so here’s my prediction.

  1. G2
  2. MOUZ
  3. NiP
  4. Entropiq
  5. Fnatic
  6. LookingForOrg

Group B Odds and Preview

  • Team Vitality; +190
  • FaZe Clan; +190
  • Virtus.pro; +190
  • FURIA Esports; +1000
  • ENCE; +1900
  • Sprout; +10000

If you were looking for the Group of Death in this tournament, you have just found it! Even the best CSGO betting sites have no clue on who’s going to finish on top of the standings!

You can’t ignore FaZe Clan after the team’s insane win in the IEM Katowice 2022. The guys showed quality and mental strength that not many other squads possess.

At the same time, Team Vitality and Virtus.pro have been among the most consistent CSGO competitors in the world. The problem is I’ve seen some cracks lately.

Further Info:

All the controversy surrounding the Russian organization might take its toll on the performances. The French side didn’t look at its best in Katowice either.

I’m leaning towards another good run by FaZe Clan, who should be able to finish on top of the standings.

The other big question here is whether any of the other sides can compete for the three places in the knockouts. I’d normally expect that from FURIA and ENCE, but not in this company. As for Sprout – any win in the ESL Pro League Season 15 will be a huge success.

Here’s what I expect when it’s all said and done.

  1. FaZe Clan
  2. Team Vitality
  3. Virtus.pro
  4. ENCE
  5. FURIA
  6. Sprout

Group C Odds and Preview

  • Gambit Esports; -167
  • BIG; +400
  • Team Liquid; +500
  • GODSENT; +800
  • Movistar Riders; +1200
  • Party Astronauts; +25000

You would normally expect Gambit to win this group, but I have my doubts after all the chaos surrounding the war in Ukraine. I think it affected the squad in Katowice, and the same could happen here.

Gambit is still by far the strongest team in terms of talent and form, though, so the top spot is still likely. I just don’t think that betting on the squad is a good idea if you consider the odds.

Liquid, BIG, GODSENT, and Movistar Riders are decent squads, but they have been at least a step or two behind the elite in the past 6 months.

The battle for the playoffs will be fierce, and anyone but Party Astronauts should be part of it. I like Liquid’s chance to finish in a good position because I’ve seen some good signs lately. Here are my ESL Pro League Season 15 predictions for group C.

  1. Gambit
  2. Liquid
  3. BIG
  4. Movistar Riders
  6. Party Astronauts

Group D Odds and Preview

  • Natus Vincere; -143
  • Heroic; +130
  • Astralis; +1100
  • Complexity Gaming; +2400
  • Evil Genuises; +3400
  • AGO; +10000

If I have to pick a group in which the major favorite might fail to finish first, it’s going to be this one. Na’Vi is the team that the ESL Pro League betting odds favor and that’s only natural.

It’s one of the strongest CSGO squads ever, and the guys finished 2021 on a high. On the downside, Natus Vincere is a Ukrainian side. Unfortunately, the minds of the players will be most probably occupied by thoughts about their close ones and their country as a whole.

A good example of the intensity of the moment is the recent issue with ESForce over insensitive comments on the war in Ukraine.

I’d say Na’Vi was a step below its best in Katowice as a result of the overall situation. Something similar is likely for the upcoming tournament too, especially if you consider Heroic’s presence in the group.

The Danish squad has been on the rise, so I expect big things this year. The talent and the confidence are there. If you add cadiaN’s leadership, all the ingredients required for a strong run are present. This is the team I expect to see deep in the ESL Pro League Season 15.

Heroic and Na’Vi are way stronger than anyone else in this group, so they should finish in the top two spots. I favor Astralis for the third playoffs quota after some excellent moments in IEM Katowice 2022.

The rest of the sides don’t have the potential to leave a mark in the upcoming CSGO competition for various reasons. Here are my predictions for the final standings.

  1. Heroic
  2. Na’Vi
  3. Astralis
  4. Evil Genuises
  5. AGO
  6. Complexity

ESL Pro League Season 15 Winner Odds and Prediction

  • Natus Vincere; +200
  • G2; +200
  • Gambit; +400
  • Heroic; +600
  • FaZe Clan; +600
  • Virtus.pro; +1000
  • Vitality; +1000
  • NiP; +1800
  • MOUZ; +1800
  • Astralis; +1800

I’ve only included the ESL Pro League Season 15 betting odds for the top 10 teams because I don’t expect any of the other sides to even reach the Last 4.

The other disclaimer I want to make is that this tournament is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s way too early, and there are a lot of CSGO matches to be played in the next month or so.

You should be careful with the size of your ESL Pro League Season 15 bets at this point. Keep them low and observe the action.

There are a lot of questions that will be answered soon, but I would like to highlight three teams even before that. G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, and Heroic all looked fantastic in Katowice. These teams can certainly go all the way in Season 15 of the ESL Pro League.

The same can be said about Gambit and Na’Vi, but I expect them to be distracted because of the tough situation in Ukraine. That could be enough for them to underperform slightly and leave the door open.

G2 has been the most consistent challenger in the past year or so, but Heroic and FaZe are not far off. I think it’s time for the Danish side to shine, so I’m picking Heroic for this one.

ESL Pro League Season 15 Best Bets

The main focus of this ESL Pro League Season 15 betting preview up to this point has been to observe the odds and share my analysis of what I expect. It’s time to move on to my best bets based on my predictions and the latest lines.

Here are my ESL Pro League Season 15 betting picks.

  • Heroic to Win the Tournament – The price of +600 is just too good for a team that has been so close for so long. The Danes can do it, and the odds are just too good to pass.
  • Heroic to Win Group D – The top spot in the group is a coin flip between Heroic and Na’Vi, in my opinion. That’s why +130 for the Danes to prevail is certainly among the ESL Pro League Season 15 best bets.
  • G2 to Win Group A – The odds might be slightly shorter than my other ESL Pro League picks, but -125 is more than enough when the gap between G2 and the other teams is so big.

I’ve used the ESP Pro League odds of BetOnline for this one because that’s one of the best CSGO sportsbooks online. The bookmaker will also cover every match from the tournament, so that’s an excellent choice for ESL Pro League Season 15 betting.
